Mr. Steven Goh is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of mig33, a social entertainment platform company headquartered in Singapore with 70 million users around the world and the leader in key South Asian markets such as Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. Starting his career as a programmer, Mr. Goh went into the accounting and stockbroking industries before becoming involved in the technology industry, developing and commercializing internet services.
Mr. Goh founded Sanford Securities in 1996, established Bell Direct, and has advised startups and been involved with numerous incubators across Australia, the USA, Europe and Asia. He was awarded an inaugural WA Business News “40 Under 40” Award in 2002, was a finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in Australia’s West Region, and currently serves as a Member of the Board of Advisors at SGEntrepreneurs.com.
With his experience at the helm of the world’s largest online chat platform in a number of muslim countries, Mr. Goh will be speaking at TEDxHongKong 2013 about the power of social networking and how it affected, influenced and shaped the Arab Spring movement that began in December 2010.
