Dr. Erica Liu Wollin is a Board-Licensed Psychologist in California, USA, and a Registered Psychologist in Hong Kong. She was trained in the US and hold a Psy.D. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. She has a private practice in Sheung Wan. Dr. Wollin has been a Clinical Supervisor for the doctoral program at Alliant International University/City University of Hong Kong since 2007 and has clinically supervised and consulted for organizations such as Mother’s Choice, Dance with Depression, City University of Hong Kong Student Development Services, Lingnan University, and Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children. She is the Professional Adoption Support Chair for Adoptive Families of Hong Kong (AFHK) and co-leads a support group for adoptive parents. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an effective treatment for traumas and phobias. Her counseling interests include individual, couples, group, and family therapy; trauma, abuse, and EMDR; adoption and attachment; grief and loss; eating disorders and body image disturbance; spiritual and faith- related concerns; multicultural issues; women’s issues; university student and young-adult mental health; and the impact of chronic mental illness on loved ones. In the US, she worked in university mental health clinics for 10 years. She was raised in the US and is of Japanese and Taiwanese descent, and is married with two children, 15 and 9. She moved to Hong Kong six years ago.
